Beloved Community Scholarship

The Beloved Community Scholarship is a community-funded college scholarship created to support graduates of Charles R. Drew Charter School and Maynard Jackson High School who identify as Black, Indigenous, or a Person of Color.

The 2026 recipient of the Beloved Community Scholarship will receive a $3,450 grant which will be paid directly into the recipient’s college account. The 2026 scholarship amount will be announced in mid-May. This scholarship is renewable for three additional years.

Applicant requirement:

Identify as BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, or a Person of Color)

Applicant ranking:

Applicants will be ranked based on the number of the following criteria that are met:

  • First generation college student
  • Intending to enroll in a Historically Black College or University (HBCU)
  • Graduating senior at Drew Charter School or Maynard Jackson High
  • Minimum 2.7 GPA
